Extremely rare vintage battery operated Wildcat No 1 toy oil rig from the 1960s. Uses a single D cell battery (not included), the on/off switch is a rheostat that varies the speed of the “pump”- we have tested this item and it functions properly. measuring approximately 8″ long x 3″ wide x 8″ tall in very clean and super attractive condition. Enlarge the photos and check out this beauty. This is a wonderful collectible advertising piece as well as a great toy model-these could be purchased at the local gas station or by mail. The vintage battery operated toy oil pump was manufactured by ESCON for toy distributor Melvin G. Miller of Houston, Texas to be given to its clients. These were also produced for Hess & Humble Oil Companies in extremely low production numbers as samples. This comes with the original box which is nearly impossible to find!
