The Hess Fire Truck Bank was the first in the fleet to come with built-in sound effects. Its dual-sound siren wails at the flick of a switch.
Fire Truck Details:
- This truck is a reissue of the 1986 Fire Truck, but with several interesting features added.
- It has unique dual sound siren operated by a separate switch, the working headlights and taillights, and the emergency flashers operated by another switch underneath.
- Measures approximately 13″ in length.
- Unlike the 1986 fire truck this is white instead of red, and the aerial ladder is red instead of white.
- Battery compartment is clean and all the lights are in working order.
Box Details:
- Box is in mint condition with bright graphics.
- Complete with both top & bottom inserts.
- Features the fire truck parked next to a Hess Gas Station with snow covered mountains and Christmas trees in the background.
- Battery installation and bank compartment instructions are on the bottom of the box.
2004 Hess Book Details:
- 40th Anniversary Toy Truck Book was published in 2004 to celebrate the 40 years Hess that has been releasing their popular toy trucks.
- Detailed pictures of all the trucks from 1964 to 2004 which is a great source of information for all Hess collectors.
- These were not advertised and there were only 30 books per store.
- Only 5000 of these books were produced so most stations sold out before anyone even knew about them.
